Christian Mua

Christian joins Canopy team after a decade of experience in event and venue operations. During his time with the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Hawks, he played a critical role in managing large scale events and multiple venue capital improvement projects. While at the Atlanta Hawks, Christian oversaw their event operations department which managed event production and games at State Farm Arena. Prior to his time with the Hawks, he spent nearly a decade with the San Diego Padres ultimately overseeing their Ballpark Operations department. During his time in San Diego, Christian also frequently collaborated with MLB and helped execute several All-Star Game and World Series operations.

As Project Director, Christian leads Canopy Team’s operational strategy portfolio working particularly closely with MLB’s Global Events Department. He brings a diverse skillset from the sports venue industry both in project management and operations, and he plays an important role in Canopy’s planning and facility projects with particular expertise in game staff planning, sourcing, and training, concession operations, and wayfinding signage development.

Christian graduated from Brigham Young University where he was a member of their varsity baseball team. He has a passion for mentoring young professionals in the sports industry, and in his free time, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his friends, family, and two Dobermans.
