Gianna Danese began her career in sports with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a Planning & Development Intern, where she supported capital improvement initiatives at Dodger Stadium. During her time with the organization, she contributed to project coordination, research, stakeholder engagement, and the development of marketing and presentation materials supporting the large-scale venue enhancement efforts.

At Canopy Team, Gianna serves as Executive Coordinator to Founder & Chair Janet Marie Smith. Since joining Canopy, her role has expanded to include high-level executive support, project coordination, and organizational planning. She works closely with leadership to manage key priorities, facilitate internal and external communications, and support project efforts across a variety of client engagements. Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Gianna plays an integral role in helping advance Canopy Team’s work and mission.

Gianna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Business Management from Columbia University. While at Columbia, she competed as a Division I student-athlete on the women’s lacrosse team and served as team captain during her senior season.
