Canopy Team is serving as an owner’s representative for Diamond Baseball Holdings on the design and construction of Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, SC, the future home of the Hub City Spartanburgers (Single-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers). The 3,500-seat ballpark is set to open in 2025 and will be the anchor of a $425 million mixed-use development project intended to create a sports & entertainment district in the city to enhance the downtown area and drive economic growth for the community.  

Canopy works closely with the team and development partner to offer guidance on the design, construction, planning, and overall strategy of the ballpark, paying close attention to the food and beverage program, retail, player facilities, kids play area, signage, graphics, and artwork. Whether through working with local concessions partners or integrating Spartanburg’s baseball and cultural history into ballpark signage and displays, it has been important to honor the city’s legacy to foster civic pride and support for the team. Canopy is also advising on the operational plan for the ballpark so that the team is ready to welcome fans for the 2025 season.
