Working in collaboration with the Maryland Stadium Authority, Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Baltimore Orioles, and Attain Sports & Entertainment, Canopy managed the design oversite of the 2026 offseason renovations at Prince George’s Stadium, home of the Chesapeake Baysox. Canopy provided design advisory, FF&E coordination and budget management, and project programming to align the facility with Major League Baseball Professional Development League standards, while supporting upgrades across both player and fan-facing areas.
Our team worked closely with the noted collaborators to help renovate and redesign the clubhouse and training areas including an oversized player performance space. The capital improvements included the upgrade of player development spaces to align with updated with Major League Baseball Professional Development League standards. This was able to create a premier player performance facility in the region, where the entire program was scripted to enhance and support Orioles players.
In addition, we were able to partner with M-NCPPC, Attain Sports & Entertainment, and Younts Design to oversee the improved fan experience at Prince George’s Stadium, including the addition of a Chesapeake Bay–themed kids’ zone and new concourse drink rails paired with ADA platforms to improve comfort and accessibility. A refreshed main entrance, along with updated graphics and wayfinding, helped streamline circulation and create a more cohesive arrival and in-game experience, resulting in a more engaging and efficient environment for fans.
As returning parters to the team, Canopy, alongside M-NCPPC, Attain Sports & Entertainment, and Younts Design Inc., helped coordinate the design and installation of two new, high-definition outfield video boards in 2025. The new 25×70 foot displays were a major upgrade to the fan experience by enhancing replays, graphics, and overall game day entertainment.
