With the introduction of Chelsea Football Club’s new ownership group in June of 2022, Canopy Team assembled a group of architects, engineers, and environmental designers to work on immediate cosmetic upgrades to the stadium. With guidance from Club staff, Canopy put together a program of improvements for completion prior to the first match and phased throughout the season. 

Directing a team of consultants, Canopy engaged local architects and stadium operations staff to carry out minor construction projects and liaised with local jurisdiction for signage and graphics approval. In partnership with the concessionaire, Levy Hospitality, further operational changes, supported by architectural renovations, helped elevate the retail experience in the concourses. All Stamford Bridge renovations and additions were scripted with careful consideration of the supporter and player experience and focused on using the building’s surroundings for gathering spaces encouraging fans to arrive early and stay late to celebrate the match-day experience.
