Julie East joins Canopy Team as Human Resources, bringing extensive experience in human resources, executive coaching, and organizational leadership. Throughout her career, Julie has held executive-level roles with Fortune 500 companies including Gap Inc., Lane Bryant, and Amazon, as well as family-owned businesses including Klein’s ShopRite of Maryland and Baltimore-based Atlas Restaurant Group. Her experience spans employee relations, leadership development, organizational change, and strategic planning.

At Canopy Team, Julie supports the development of the team and organization, bringing a thoughtful and strategic approach to leadership, culture, and employee development.

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of the University of California’s Instructional Design program. She holds a graduate-level certification in Change Management from Johns Hopkins University, and holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation. She is also a board member of Baltimore nonprofit Paul’s Place and volunteers with SHRM National.
