Tahlor Cleveland joins Canopy Team as a Project Associate and is passionate about crafting vibrant communities through architecture and social connections. Tahlor is making waves as a Graduate Intern at the Getty Conservation Institute where she is deeply engaged in historical and cultural research, focusing on the preservation of African American sites and culture in the Los Angeles area. In a previous role, she worked at the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Planning and Development department working on Dodger Stadium to preserve its iconic charm while upgrading amenities to contemporary standards. She oversaw projects ranging in scale and scope from furniture and fixture refreshes to food and beverage build-outs, including the Centerfield Plaza expansion, with a focus on integrating partner brand designs into project work.
As a Project Associate at Canopy Team, Tahlor is expanding on her initial work in the summer of 2024 as a Design Intern. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for placemaking, Tahlor thrives in collaborating with diverse groups while delving into an area’s cultural and social histories. She is working on placemaking strategy and implementation for the Pimlico Race Course project and contributing to other projects as needed.
A proud LA native and Dodgers enthusiast, Tahlor’s interests span architectural exploration, movie marathons, and creative pursuits. Her journey began with a BA in Urban Studies & Planning from UC San Diego and she recently received a master’s in architecture degree from Tulane University, where she received the prestigious Tulane 34 Award, recognizing the top 34 graduates in leadership and academic excellence. She remains dedicated to shaping a world where history and modernity dance hand in hand.
