Since its opening in 2009, Citi Field has set the standard for its great fan experience, unique culinary offerings, and authentic New York character. As the Mets looked to develop ideas for Citi Field’s continued growth and its place in the Queens neighborhood, their front office engaged Canopy Team to create a long-term strategic vision for the ballpark and campus footprint. Canopy led a multi-disciplinary planning and design team to set the stage for the next generation of Citi Field. Efforts included reinventing the ballpark design while maximizing fan amenities, driving creative thinking behind premium and partner activations, maximizing new revenue opportunities, and creating a destination for the ballpark 365 days-a-year.
